Compassionate Ministries

Compassion is the word that describes someone being so moved by love for the broken and afflicted that to sit by and watch and do nothing would be the most tragic thing they could've ever done in their lives. Compassion is the actual act and the very evidence of love. Compassion is the coming alongside those hurting, to feel their hurt, and to help them carry their burdens, not leaving them abandoned. Compassion describes Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior who saw the broken and hurting, and approached them, and healed them. It was compassion for the world that our Lord gave up His life to redeem us all from sin and death. Praise His name!

Christ has moved within our hearts here at Puka Naz to reach out into our community in Maui with His compassion so that people would come to know the truth of who Jesus is, the love of God.

Here's some of the things God is doing through us:

Giving tree

On every heart that is pinned to the giving tree is a description of an item that we are looking for to help bless a mother in need. Are you able to buy diapers or baby wipes etc.? Do you feel led to make a donation to this? If so, 100% of all that comes in will go straight to our mother whom we have the honor of loving.

We are honored to be able to help our sister Kapua through this giving tree.

This is a picture of Kapua's keiki (children) enjoying each others presence and love. Kapua loves her keiki as much as any loving mother does. She is a single mother doing the best she can to make sure her keikis have the best opportunities in life.

We want to be a blessing to her and her family. You can be a part of that too, the nurturing and strengthening on this 'ohana (family). Please prayfully consider donating to our Giving tree. Again, 100% of all donations go straight to Kapua and her keiki.

Easter Boxes 2022

We praise the Lord for His generosity that we may be able to do this beautiful ministry.

We had about 20 families who we were able to give these easter boxes too.

These boxes were very hefty boxes. We gave can goods, rice, pasta, as well as a lot of fruits from our church orchard. We also was able to bless families with turkey and ham from Foodland through the Maika'i rewards.

Here's some pictures of all the hard working and compassionate filled people who were gave of there time to serve these families.

Mahalo to Aunty Venita Palmer and all the Compassion Ministry workers!
