Pukalani Community Church of the Nazarene is a Compassionate Ministry Center as well as a church. Our Ministries include a community garden, Kihei project-reaching the lost, as well as a regular, full function church of the Nazarene.
Our garden ministry is committed to growing and providing fresh produce with needy families in our communities at no cost. Our growing season is year round, which enables us to have an ongoing ministry that impacts many people and provides a door for us into the lives of others that we might share the good news of the gospel with them. This ministry is always in need of human and financial resources.
Kihei Project-Reaching the lost is a church plant in Kihei Maui. This ministry is aimed in part to the large houseless population in that town. The church has no building, so the church is literally the people wherever they might be found. Pastor Tom and Kerry Gudmunson serve as plant Pastors, and are doing an amazing job at loving the gospel into people in Kihei who need Jesus. This ministry includes feeding the houseless and poor, as well as providing the most basic of necessities of life: toothpaste, toothbrushes, underclothes, blankets, shoes, food, etc. This is truly a Mission field right here on Maui. This ministry is always in need of human and financial resources as the need is never ending, and seems to be growing.
Pukalani Community Church of the Nazarene: We are a Christ-centered, holiness church committed to preaching and teaching the gospel as well as loving the gospel to people from all over our island. We are located on the side of the mountain, Haleakala. Our buildings are old and in need of much repair. We have approved projects listed on the General Church of the Nazarene Work and Witness website. In addition, we are planning and moving forward with the construction of a new church. We simply have outgrown our old facilities, to God be the Glory. This ministry is always in need of financial and human resources.
